I followed the very simple pattern with the following changes:

• 3 needle bind off at the shoulders
• for armholes I did one row of sc before the picot row
• only one row of sc at the neck opening
• used a crochet 5 petal double flower instead of the knit flower
• made a headband instead of the hat. Cast on 70 stitches backwards loop, used Jeny’s super stretchy bind off to make sure it wouldn’t be too tight for baby’s head. Crochet flower.
