The pattern is very easy to memorize, with only 4 different rows.

Cast on an extra repeat of 11 stitches due to using Aran weight yarn. My cable cast-on seemed stretchy enough on my swatch and in the beginning of my project. However, as the cowl became longer, I realized my cast-on was not stretchy enough. In the future, I will try using a larger needle for the cast-on, or else use a different cast-on.

Completed cowl weighs 108 g. Measures 14.5” tall; circumference is 23” at top edge and 29” at bottom edge.

The Sundara Aran Silky Merino is a dream to knit and has gorgeous sheen and drape. I will happily use this again. Be careful not to split stitches, because the yarn doesn’t recover nicely. It is beginning to pill a tiny bit at the bottom edge just from the wear of the knitting process, so projects that would experience rubbing or hard wear would not do happily in this yarn.
