Apr. 24, 2016: I used the Rowan Harris Chunky on the bottom, and am knitting the body of the purse holding the Meridian Jacobs 2-ply Silver and the handspun together.

July 4, 2016: It’s finished! I worked the body of the bag from the main pattern, then bound off 33 stitches and worked the flap from the Flaps pattern. I didn’t like the look of the strap that I had knit, so used a spare leather strap that I had. I cut out a pocket from a worn out, red, cotton car coat & sewed that into a pocket to insert into the bag, with a zipper closure, then used a linen remnant for the lining, and a button that I had.

Finished measurements: 9-1/2” high x 9” wide, 25 cm high x 22 cm wide.
