July 22, 2012: So far my gauge is a little off--I swatched and swatched, but now I’ve got 20 st/4 inches. Since it’s a vest, I’m thinking it will turn out all right if it’s a bit bigger, since I’m planning on wearing it over a shirt, anyway. If I run out of yarn, I’m also counting on it being a vest, where it’s ok if I work in another color & do something whimsical!

March 1, 2013: Some ends to weave in, loops to knit, and buttons to attach!

March 13, 2013: Finished! Added 7 buttons, and made the loops with a 4.5mm/US size E crochet hook: chained 12 stitches tightly, then sewed the loop on between the 2nd & 3rd vertical row of stitches in from the edge. And I realized later that I put the buttons on the “mens” side of the vest--oh, well!
