Notes

One of my greatest knitting successes ever! Even though it is not very well executed (what a mess I made at picking up stitches for the neck! And the button placket overlaps and protrudes, and the waist is not even symmetrical!) it looks gorgeous and it makes me feel gorgeous. I love Kim Heargraves’ designs! I can see myself wearing this for years and years to come. So long as I fit in it!

I did no modifications except a little row of slip stitch crocheted in the neck area where the decreases looked dreadful when picked up. Now the transition between the front piece knitted flat and the neck knitted in the round doesn’t show that much.

The fabric is quite stiff -100% cotton at a tight tension, what did I expect- but I find it improves if you use Soak or something like it and put it to dry flat without wrenching a lot of the water out. The tight tension helps keep the wide boatneck in place.
