My yarn was a lot thinner, so I had to rewrite the pattern from top to bottom. Because I had no idea how much yardage I would need, the first thing was to make it into a top-down. I also finished the sleeves first -you never know. As it turns out, I’ve had had yarn to spare.
I’m in love with this yarn. Soft as powder! It’s been wonnnnnderful to knit with it.
I’m very, very happy with this one. Even if I haven’t yet discovered the way to have a nice bow on it. Pesky lace!

What I did: (these are just notes, I might have made changes and forgot to write them down. And I need to go back and check stitch counts and measurements, but I’m in England and the dress is Catalonia. Sorry! It’s on my to-do list!)
With 3 mm needle (or to achieve 28 sts gauge),
CO 86 sts, work 4 rows in 2x2 rib.
Work 1 row in Stockinette stitch, making eyelets (sl1-k-psso, YO) every… I think it was 6 stitches, not sure now.
Next row, purl across and PM as follows: p 13 - PM - p 14 - PM - p24 - PM - p 14 - PM - p 13.
Inc on every RS row on each side of marker (I did K to 2 sts before marker, kfb, k1, slip marker, k1, kfb)
Next row: P
Repeat until… (oh nuts, I didn’t write how many stitches!) well, raglan line was about 10 cms, I think. (Will come back with stitch count, promise)
Now place front and back stitches on scrap yarn and finish sleeves by CO 2 stiches at beg of first 2 rows, which are worked in stockinette, then 4 rows 2x2 rib. BO, repeat for the other sleeve.
BODY and BACKS back on needle. (I worked a faux seam where they joined, by working 1 stitch in reverse stockinette (K of WS, P on RS) - I prefer it instead of markers.
Continue in stockinette increasing 1 stitch at each side of faux seam every 10th row, until front measures 32 cms from faux seam to faux seam. Work straight until body measures 35 cms from under sleeves (will have to check all these out. Bare with.)
Work 4 rows 2x2 rib and BO.
POCKET:
CO 32 sts, work 4 rows 2x2 rib, then eyelets (work first one on 2nd stitch, then every 4th I think).
Work stockinette for 6.5 cms, then decrease on each side for 3 rows to create round-ish shape. BO, and have patience sewing it on.
I worked a crochet edging at the back (3 rows sc and 1 row picot to stabilise the one, 1 row sc and 1 shells to create buttonholes) but you can work whatever edging you wish.
Sew on buttons, thread a bit of lace or ribbon through eyelets at neck and pocket, good luck making a bow that stays put. If you manage, tell me how you did it. I’ll probably stitch it on.)
