Notes

I’d seen these gorgeous three-way wraps in some Japanese crochet magazines I could not purchase, so I decide to make my own. I found a simple, lacy and lovely motif somewhere in the internet and I bought some yarn remainders for sale and here it is. The yarn is springy and soft as a perfect merino should be.

I’m wearing it to death, all through autumn and even in winter. Both as a scarf and as a shrug, I get comments on it every time. Go ahead and make your own. The work progresses in chunks of 8x8 centimeters at a time, how good is that! And yes, there are always those pesky ends to weave in, but when you are using just one colour is not so bad. And for me it was very much worth it. Finish it with buttons or with chains reinforced with slip stitch and complete with a bobble at the end as ties. It’s an instant favourite.

There is nothing like lace produced with one-colour airy crochet motifs. Makes motif-work worth it, which for me is a lot to say!
