Notes

I couldn’t be happier with this pullover. Even though there are flaws (one missed row in the yoke and a stupid amount of extra stitches in one sleeve I just don’t know where they came from) they don’t show (much) and the end result is simply stunning.

The alpaca-silk blend is gorgeous, as soft as it gets, drapes beautifully and shows the textured pattern perfectly. It was finer than the yarn specified so I swatched and I blocked. I didn’t like it on 4mm needles, so I worked on 3.5mm, got a tighter, prettier tension, and I decided to do size 40 to achieve a bust of 38. Perfect results.

The pattern is very detailed (so much so that when I first read it I thought it was a bit obtuse) but will take you through the knitting easily and smoothly.

I finished it just in time to get the buttons on Christmas Eve and wear it for Christmas. I felt like a million dollars in it. It’s classy, stylish, unusual, comfortable, curve-hugging and hugely flattering. Don’t let the fine gauge put you off. Every stitch is worth it!
