Bit of a tricksy one this and it’s not a patten, per se, more of a recipe.

My partner wanted socks with Welsh Dragons on.

Tried toe up. The colourwork bit wasn’t stretchy enough so it didn’t fit. Tried bigger needles, nope. Tried rapid numbers of decreases, but nope, the toe up bit didn’t work for me.

Did top down, using the same amount of stitches from BMP, did the corrugated rib, then the dragon. Then decided to decrease 2 stitches every 5 rows until I reached 64 stitches, which worked well because my partner loves long socks.

Love them, but think I’d do matching heel & toe next time.
