Accelerating towards the toe on sock one… (last set of decreases). Picked these up again as my commuter knit.

Sock number two is now underway. Racing towards the heel. This sock is working very well as a commuter knit (although I try to avoid turning the cable on the bus as the four stitches are very tight no matter how much I try to relax.

Mucked up the kitchenering on sock one (a strange loop appeared on the inside of the sock, which I have tacked down when I was burying the ends. Clearly I should have tensioned the yarn more as I was performing the stitch (at least these are for me and I don’t find it irritating).

Currently I’m working the gusset decreases.

I must say - this is rather a fun sock to knit.

The sock yarn reminds me in texture of a pair of socks that I still have from my teenage years that I borrowed and never returned from my Uncle Brian (they were his socks for the building site - and they’ve lasted and lasted - I’m just wearing through the bottom of the heel now).

All done with sock two - just need to Kitchener the toe.

Finished! Kitchener success on sock two! Socks have been soaked and are on their sock blockers now. Happy dance!
