This is a fun and easy knit so far. I’m knitting it while working on another sweater, so I’m alternating days or sometimes I’ll knit one for an hour and then the other for an hour. Either way, this sweater is going really fast.
I’m not sure I love the color combo I chose with these denim yarns, but I’m going with it. (the color is totally off in the first photo) Hopefully, I’ll feel differently when it’s done.
I also have to say that I’m not thrilled with this yarn. It feels nice, but it splits very easy as you’re working with it, so I find I can’t take my eyes off it while I’m working.

A word to the wise…follow the pattern. It’s a good pattern. When I got the last 4 rows before the neckline trim, it was looking really long so I held it up to me and decided to omit those last 4 rows. (I was playing yarn chicken too, and thought I might run out)
After I got the neckline trim finished and tried it on, lo and behold…I really needed those 4 rows. So I tinked that part and added the 4 rows.
Of course, that resulted in having to weave in extra ends from rejoining yarn where I wouldn’t have in the first place. Sigh…

I would have finished this 2 weeks earlier, but after having to re-do the neckline for my mistake, I then didn’t like how the neck was laying on me. Since this is a test knit, I emailed the designer to ask if I could try a smaller needle for the neckline, thinking it would bring it in a little. It took me 2 weeks to get back to this, but I was so happy to finish it today.
Using a size 6 on the neckline helped immensely. I used this cool stretchy bind off I had just learned about: https://youtu.be/M0VjaxkaNUc That is my new favorite bind off! It gives a really nice edge and it stretches nicely so it’s perfect for necklines.
I wore this to a LYS and had at least 4 people compliment me on my top, and one asked where she could get the pattern.
