Excellent pattern, excellent yarn, and tons of help and advice in the Advent Calender Scarf group. This was fun to do.
Chronology of the scarf:
1 December - start;
2 December - unravel and start over;
3 December - take 1st photo (at 1 am)…
4 December - all caught up and have decided not to use eyelets in the between sections as I am not using any beads;
5 December - finished just under the wire at 23:45!
6 December - have fallen behind, mistake in row 17 then too tired to continue after putting everything right (but at least it’s all good to go for tomorrow)
7 December - finished day 6 and spacer for day 7, will hopefully catch up over the weekend;
8 December - still one day behind;
9 December - even farther behind…
10 December - halfway through day 9;
11 December - finished day 10, still one day behind;
12 December - as usual, one day behind;
13-14 December - scarf is having a rest because I have too much work at the office, perhaps I should take some time off to knit…
15-18 December - scarf has been to Brussels and back on a long weekend, currently finished through day 14;
21 December - finish day 15, scarf is getting really long;
24 December - halfway through 17;
26 December - knitting at the office, making cables with paperclips, finished day 18;
29 December - having a bad time at work, all stressed out and can’t seem to start day 19 properly, have had to unravel twice…
1 January 2012 - finished to day 20;
2 January - 21 done, three more to go…
6 January - have started day 23 and I am so tired of these circular needles, never again, regretted halfway through but my guage changes and I couldn’t go to straights, arghhh;
8 January - it’s finally done! and I am happy…now to block;
9 January - washed, blocked, dryed, ends sewn in (only two!!), photographed, and handed on. May all my projects be so successful and so much fun.
Favorites: day 7, day 17, day 21
Least favorite: day 8, really struggled to finish it, and anything with cables
Yarn comments:
Soft and beautiful, a pleasure to knit with and no knots whatsoever.
Knitting off the cone is excellent too, there will be absolutely no ends to weave in except the beginning and the end
Scarf weighs 284 grams and so this means I used about 1144 meters of yarn.
