Notes

Casting on 82 sts on needle 2.75 mm for a looser cast-on edge and then switching to 2.5 mm needles.
This knits up really lovely, and fast enough.

Found a mistake from row 1, offsetting the stripes on this sock. One side has four stripes, the other just two. The judges’ verdict is to frog. I started from the other end of the skein already while waiting for the verdict. Happy to start over because everything will line up so beautifully.

Obligatory Dutch Madness: Kitchen countertop picture, bonus points for metro tiles or stroopwafels (I only have 1).

Found another mistake after finishing the new first sock: the cuff is only 10 rows instead of 16. As answered in the question thread, I knit a separate cuff of the missing rows and hope to graft them onto the first sock, but kitchenering in pattern turns out to be harder than expected.
I’m planning it for later in the week, maybe I can get the second sock far enough to make it to a cheerleading team without having to stress over deadlines during sock surgery.

Sending in one-and-a-half knitted sock to qualify for cheerleader. Ruler is in inches.

  • Sock 1 has full leg, heel flap, heel turn, foot repeats and ribbed toe.
  • Sock 2 has the proper amount of rows in the cuff
  • I have missed a smock somewhere on the second sock, but now it looks like the socks are equally high.

Together they make up the required minimum for cheerleader status.
I did not try to match these socks, but because of the cuff differences between the socks, they match almost perfectly. I have also won at yarn chicken with 3 grams of beige left.

Boyfriend has already claimed these socks and says they are very comfortable.
