I’m in treatment for “tennis elbows” (though I don’t think I ever played in my life) and really hope they weren’t triggered by knitting, but to spare my aching arms (especially from purling) I started another side project on my parallell loom.

Once again I used a video tutorial available from @tuteate but I should have figured from the start that a thinner yarn makes a thinner as well as airier cord out of those three stitches, that in the video are made of a 75m/100g yarn. So, I scaled up to 5, and it turned out to work quite well to do so around the bend. There’s a slight laddering happening at the crossing, but I count on a good rinse and spin in the washing machine will even the cord out nicely - apart from the yarn being thick and thin, of course.

Btw, this must render a similar result to the finger knitting we used to do as kids, or, if we were more advanced, on the Strickliesel. I even have a mechanical one, called Strickmühle from Prym, waiting to be tried out, and that I thought might be practical for making for example draw string cords. A quick google search made me realize there’s a lot one can do with cords though! I don’t even dare to go down the iCord rabbit hole on Pinterest … sweat_smile
