I decided that week 7 is my last week and placed it in a ring and hung it up.
I finally used 1 ball of Whirl and 2 balls of Whirlette.
So happy with it !!

Week 6 was a piece of cake! It was a very relaxed crochet week for me. I never knew that I like to do mosaic crochet so much.

Week 5 was a challenge again. I hadn’t paid enough attention so I must redo 2 rows
But that wasn’t a punishment because I found this week very relaxed with all those texture stitches.
It is now 67 centimeters in diameter and weighs a total of 240 grams. For the last row, I had to attach a new ball of Whirlette (black).

Part 3 of the Rozeta CAL is ready and I love it!

And yes I, even me as an experienced crocheter, had to crochet her at least twice because of too loose or too tight.

But oh, isn’t she worth it

I regularly get questions about how many Whirls and Whirlettes I think I need, so I made a calculation.

My calculation:

You can compare the Whirl / Whirlette (100gr / 455m) with the Midnight Our Tribe (100gr / 420m) because in this version you also work with 2 colors.

For the Midnight you need 5 balls of color A which is 2100 meters and which is equal to 5 balls of Whirlette

And 5 balls of color B which is 2520 meters and which is equivalent to 3 balls of Whirl.

To check:

After 3 weeks, according to the pattern, the Midnight Our Tribe has consumed around 154 grams of yarn, which is equivalent to 647 meters.

And after 3 weeks with my Whirl / Whirlette version, I have used 125 grams of yarn which is 568 meters.

So you use fewer meters, but that makes sense because the Whirl and Whirlette are slightly thinner than the Our Tribe. So if you convert that into percentages, it will be just right!

It is not a guarantee but I think I am very safe with my 3 Whirls and 5 Whirlettes.
