  • I thought this was the perfect pattern for my nephew who loves music.. then by great coincidence, Ashlee also recently launched the MusicCal CAL - Schedule and Intro page links

  • I like some elements from the MusicCal and wanted to add them to the Guitar pattern.

  • To make the two patterns work well together, I cast on for the Guitar pattern then looked for the closest match in the MusicCal. The guitar starts with 88 windows, while in the MusicCal, I could begin with 87 windows for 3 pattern repeats.. I am working the extra window the same as the first st on RS after beginning ch3 and again working it like the last st on WS before the ES

  • I chose to exchange the swirl-like design with the sheet music from the MusicCal… I opted to do it from row 62 of the Guitar pattern

June 4, 2021

  • Guitar complete… now back to the MusicCal CAL for my last part.. the boom box as my end of the afghan

  • Stopped the Guitar pattern on row 189 on WS then did plain RS row in both colours and then after the WS rows began the Boom Box after the divider section. Since the original pattern has one less dc, I have incorporated it into the border pattern for a balanced look
