Stripes. Two row stripes are quite effective. I prefer to do all the bands in one of the colors. In the yoke I like the effect of having one color for the increase row and the next purl row and the other color for the knit two together row and the following row of knitting each stitch and the bar between the stitches. There is a bonus of small blips of contrasting color in the knit two together row.
