Notes

Used “Tillybuddy’s Very Stretchy Cast On” (page 62 in “Cast on bind off” by Leslie Ann Bestor). Following my usual practice of using 2mm needles to get a nice dense sock fabric and using the numbers from the large size to compensate for that and end up with a “medium” sock.

March 26/2017: Heels turned. Did my usual heel hole avoidance trick (described here), using knit two together to do the final heel decrease in the first row worked in the round. Now onwards to the toes!

Finished! (these went slowly because they were mostly only worked on during coffee breaks at work, which works out, at my knitting speed, to one complete round of stitches per break, slowed down to half rounds for a while as the gussets grew). Heel is a very nice fit and I’ll be making this pattern again.
