Took several goes to get the centre right, but then gave up on the pattern, sat down with my husband, worked out what we thought it should look like, then did that.

Hoped to be able to get more yarn to make the blanket a little bigger (as of 12 October it’s about 28in in diameter) but the shop was out of the colours I’d previously used, and the baby that it’s for has already been born so I need to hurry. So unscheduled colour change for border to pink :)

Since the blanket was on the small side, I decided a wider, ruffled edge would be better, and I chose this pretty border for it.
