I used all kinds of odds and ends of hand spun, lace weight yarn for the warp, plus 6 ends of a larger weight hand spun (the yellow).
The plan is to weave some fabric to make a garment.

The weft is some lace weight yarn from Tanis Fiber Arts in the Fig colour way (from the July 2015 colour club), plus some black merino/tencel (50/50) weaving yarn. I also wove a small section with purple TFA lace weight yarn and some white handspun wool (Saori style).
I am adding in 1”-2” pieces of hand spun for texture in the weft, and also weaving in some little squares.

5m warp
About 330 ends, plus 6 extra
20 ends/inch (2 in each slot in a 10 dent reed), and the heavier yarn is set at 10 ends/inch (one per slot)

Fresh off the loom there was 4.5m of fabric 42cm wide (almost 5yds, 16.5” wide) and after finishing it was 4.3m and 41cm. To finish it I washed it with lots of agitation in hot water. One rinse in hot water, and a final rinse in cold water.
Spun in the washing machine and then 10 minutes in the dryer. I steam pressed it when slightly damp.

The final fabric has a lovely drape, and is nice an soft.
