Notes

Late CO for another missed mystery.

“Subtlety” because the colourwork will not show very dramatically on the cuffs and toes the way I’m doing it, though it should stand out more on the legs. I’m knitting each sock from either end of this pair of gradient yarns, so “MC” and “CC” are not uniformly high contrast but depend on the gradients lining up or not.

Gonna add a little fun to the toe and repeat the slip-stitch stockinette motif from the leg (just the little speckles) as I don’t want the lace going all the way down the foot.

Finished knitting on the 12th! Grafted toes and wove in ends on the 13th. Pretty quick knit for the complex-looking stitchwork. Garter+Mosaic is a nice cheat. I think there’s a bit of a cognitive hack to this as well, as the pattern makes 4 rounds mentally “one round” as the alternate slipping of two rounds, then two rounds keeps me going until I’ve done a “full set” and am back to the main colour/knit-slip round before I can put the sock down.

2AAT also worked just fine with this arrangement, as I worked each sock from both ends of one ball which proved much less tangly than working both socks from one ball.
