So it seems I was working it on 3.75mm instead of 4, but I’m fine with that. The fabric is quite firm but not stiff, and I’m sure it will relax if it’s washed.

Working in the round was the right choice. I’ve just finished the 3 needle bind off on both shoulders and will weave in ends before I start on the arm and neck borders.

There’s only two sizes and they have plenty of ease, and my gauge always seems to be too loose, so I pulled this out the second time and used a 4mm circular instead of the 5mm circ as even the smaller size was going to swim on me. Not sure what the 5.5mm needles the pattern asks for will be used for.

I’ve modified the pattern to work in the round, and I’m not doing stripes. Be careful at the beginning because although it sets up four rows after the border, that’s not the pattern. The pattern is alternating stripes. That was why I pulled out the first time.

It’s easier to un-knit than to just rip back due to the sequins. Roll the yarn into its separate components again, don’t try and make a ball as you unravel both yarns. It became a mess.
