I love this pattern! The shape of the shawl sits beautifully over the shoulders and has a lovely curve in the back. I quickly got my beautiful friend Helena to model it. She doesn’t need to hold it shut. It sits perfectly, just like in the pattern photos. I will make it again for myself because I can imagine wearing it a lot.

I found this an easy lace pattern to memorize. The trick is working out how the repeat shifts at the end of each section.
I didn’t follow her edge decreases in the chart. I just did what seemed sensible bearing in mind how many decreases needed to be made. Some people have commented that there is a mistake in the charted decreases but I couldn’t tell you since I didn’t follow them.
I made this for my friend and boss, Susan, to wear to her step-brother’s wedding in New York, in August. She wants something very light to cover her arms. I think it is incredibly pretty!! She will be wearing it with a light grey dress.
