Will follow pattern in size S/M to keep it loose, make it shorter than pattern calls for and end in flat knit rib separated into front and back panel. Use 5 mm needles to get gauge, length from hem to underarm will probably be 10 inches. For sleeves increase by 1 stc at beginning to get 56 (multiple of 8) then don’t do any decrease throughout and do 1 rnd of k2tog to get wrist stcs right before ribbing.

CO 88 instead of 86 stcs and add 1 extra stc to the count of front and back stitches for the yoke. This will bring body stitch count to 160, a multiple of 8.
