I’m knitting this shawl as a gift to my grandmother for her 60th anniversary with my grandfather. She used to knit a lot and I hope she’s happy to see the younger generation do the same.

07-05-2019 update

When I was about 50% done I realized that the shawl won’t be big enough if I strictly follow the pattern so I’ll probably add 16 rows of garter stitch and 16 or 24 rows of mesh.
