Left out the stockinette triangle in the back.
Made the neckline/left and right merger descend a little more.
Neckline finishing: pick up knitwise, purl 1r, bind off knitwise.
The shortrows at the beginning/shoulders made for “spikes”/baggy fabric. On the next version I’ll skip those. Wasn’t convinced these were useful from the start but followed the pattern and as this is the very beginning, there was no way I’d redo the shoulders… I checked photos from other projects, this seems to be a general problem though somewhat countered by the back stockinette triangle in the original pattern.
Was aiming for a wider, overcut shoulders look like on this test knit: https://www.ravelry.com/projects/bandi701/ronsard
Didn’t fully achieve but I have another colour, will start another one…
Also: I LOVE the yarn, as I love most Rowan yarns. Absolutely even stitches even though this is cotton/linen and part of the piece is knit back and forth. Very soft for 50% linen.
