Update: pic #1 = 1st felting, #2 & 3 = 2nd felting

Made to replace my old clogs (size 5 1/2-6 shoe) - in child’s size x-large. To get close to my size, I put them through normal laundry load - mostly towels - on hot, and dried in dryer as well. They’re still just the tiniest bit loose and so decided they can be a Christmas gift for Cheryl (size 6 1/2-7).

Or, since the stitch definition still shows, could re-felt to tighten them up (did this - put through one wash cycle on hot - no dry for the 2nd felting).

sizing info (all using double strand of yarn):
children’s x-lg, Fishermen’s Wool or Paton’s Classic Wool, #13 needle = size 5 1/2-6 for me (10 1/2” before felting)
Ditto but Jo-Ann Sensations Kashmira wool = size 6 - 6 1/2 for Cheryl
children’s med, Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn! Solids, #13, = 7 1/2” length for Kacey/Kylie at age 8 or 9 (starts out 9” long before felting)
Adult small, Fishermen’s Wool, #13 = woman’s size 8 (Mom/DeAnna) - close to 12” before felting, 10” after
Fuzzy Feet (basically 2-strand knitted socks felted):
Lion Brand Lion Wool Prints, #13, mco 4 or 5 and incr
to 16 (or short row) - goes from 11” pre-felt to 8 3/4” after

Sock Sizing
Sock Size
Numerical sock sizes are given as the length of the foot in inches. This length does not correlate precisely with shoe size, as the fit depends on both the stretch of the sock and width of the foot. J.B. Field’s wool socks and Arriva socks are made to stretch and adapt readily. If you are at the top of the range for a size, and your foot is wide, take the next size up. If you are at the bottom of the range for a size, and your foot is narrow, take the next size down.
