Notes

6-10-21: I managed to knit one going the wrong direction, and I’d have to rip out all the squares above it to rectify the situation. I’ve decided to call it a design element and work around it.

Photo 2 = the goof and my first attempt to design around it. Photo 3 = a few more ideas for changing the direction of the diagonal lines. Photo 4 = a solution I can actually live with, as it can be explained as a line of Xs & Os ( Kisses & hugs) in the center of the blanket.

5-15-21: It’s called Soft Colorway in the pattern booklet and pastel rainbow on the kit I bought.

I highly recommend weaving in ends as you go - maybe every two or three blocks if not every single block. If I wait till the end, I will try to hurry through it and not be as careful, not to mention how tedious it would be.

Potato-chippy project because A) easy, 2) the usual boredom I experience with all-garter is alleviated by constant change of color and watching each block go from 49 stitches per row to 1. It’s like a race to complete each block.
