1-4 method I worked out to pick up edge stitches - can also include stitch next to edge. Original selvedge was 1st st: sl1 pw YIF, last st: k1. PDF available here
5 tiny flower
c/o 3, b/o 2 (last st tbl), *c/o 2, b/o 2 w/ last tbl*x4. Run stitch through base of all and draw tightly closed.
6-8 forget-me-not
c/o 40, k 40, *k1, b/o 6*x5 & draw tightly together with contrast color (cc) that’s been run through sts on needle. Fill in center with the cc.
9 another forget-me-not
Ch 4 and join with sl st to make ring. (Or magic ring)
Round 1: 4 sc in ring, sl st with last sc to join
Round 2: ch 4, 2tr, ch 4, sl st in same stitch
Round 3: repeat round 2 for all 5 petals
Cut yarn & weave in ends.
10-11 nice caston (called tubular, but I’m not sure why). Waste yarn half the number. 2+ rounds/rows of stockinette. Working yarn: purl 2 rounds (or rev. st st 2 rows). Now *purl one into st on needle, knit one into purl bump below (working yarn purl bump)* around/across. Then do your pattern, typically 1x1 rib to start would match the caston. #11 shown with chain bindoff (at bottom of ring in photo).
12 tighter slip-st selvedge that doesn’t twist to the front or back: 1st st=k1tbl, last st=sl1pw yf.
13 woven stitch like plaited basket st. Good for handles, bag bottom, etc.
14-15 slipst seed st (dreamy spa cloth on KnitPicks uses it - in DBox)
16 Buttonhole loop on grafted bindoff, using 2-st double knit cord.
17 Alsacian (sp) Scallops pattern here and in Dropbox
18 Punto Abanico en relieve or lookup Oana crochet channel on YouTube Crochet Shell Stitch good English explanation (& I wrote it out on Post Its)

21 Punto Mariposa Recto
22 Punto Tridimensional
23 Tejiendo de Corazon
24 Unventing a sock from Russian site
25 slip stitch pattern
26 slipped stitch edge as Bjorn does it
27 slipped stitch edge from Jessica_Jean
28-29 vikkel braid1 - sockmatician has a good way to end the round, by making a last stitch into the first one with a tapestry needle as I usually do with in the round bindoffs. Arrow shows the sewn final stitch. Pic 29: did a vikkel knit flat, then bound off sts using crochet slipst bindoff. Quite substantial & tidy.
30-31 Celtic heart (can use Icord)
32-34 working my version of corrugated rib
35 diff grandmother’s dishcloth method, for prayer shawl starting with flat bottom, not a point (top would actually work to a point; I stopped it early). Note rounding of side edge at center, too.

  1. caston one (cbl c/o) & *do left twists all around, place one st from RN to LN.* At end, sew last st to first. LT = k in back of st 2, lv on ndl, into st 1 & both off.
