Final

I knit to row 8 of the 7th repeat and then bound off using an i-cord in the main color (blue). Here is a good icord instruction video.

I blocked very lightly; didn’t even use pins to stretch, just pulled it out by hand on my blocking board (yoga mat). It is so, so soft and wonderful. It’s 22” deep by 88” long. I may block it again with pins to make it a bit deeper.

Weights

23 grams of the first cake left when I started the mosaic. Ran out and joined second cake of the blue Rosy Green Wool at the end of Repeat 3, row 6 of mosaic.

40 grams of the MC (blue) and 52 grams of the CC (grey) when I finished. I started with a slightly dented cake of the blue to begin (was missing 10 grams) so I used 150g total.

Notes

The Rosy Green Wool Cheeky Merino Joy is really wonderful to knit with, and I am really enjoying the finished product.

This is a very good knit for social activities. It takes a bit of time for the mosaic pattern to start to show, but when it does it’s very special!

I was going to go with an orange for the mosaic, but I fell so in love with the yarn that I decided to get a few more skeins and make a sweater out of it. I replaced it with a really pretty silver - in certain lights it has a greenish bluish tinge. The Rosy Green in Garden Pond is difficult to match - it’s a very interesting blue with lots of green in it. It’s also difficult to photograph and ends up looking just deep blue in most pictures. The photo titled “keeping it real” is the closest to true photo I have of the blue.
