Once I got a sense of the construction, I skipped reading the pattern and just improvised with color changes and eyelet row placement (mostly just counted 10 garter ridges before starting an eyelet row). Great pattern for improvising!

Hedgehog yarn is a dream to work with, not to mention Malabrigo. The speckles of the Construct colorway are very subtle, so it looks mostly gray, but more pronounced in the Salty Tales colorway with larger bits of blue/teal/indigo. Perfect for fading into a more solid teal colorway.

Gauge is off, so it’s coming out huge, nicely so! I’m ending it just part way through the color C section, since I’ve been improvising the color changes all along anyway.

Added a stripe of gold from a bit of leftover Colinette Tao.
