Fell in love with Sari’s design and the look of Tukuwool Harmas, so when the Finnish wool wasn’t available I went for the French..and it’s working up beautifully.

The semi-woolen spun yarn is lovely to knit with, and softens up nicely even with some spray blocking - I always like to see what I’m working on, and even at the beginning of a project I’ll spray block in the evening to dry overnight, to open up a lace pattern. This yarn really transforms and the beautiful drape of the fabric is evident already.

I might have preferred a bit warmer, browner shade, but this taupe is lovely too, nice color depth.

I edited the pattern as I always do with my own shorthand, so that I have less to look at for each row. Although you do have to read through each row, the pattern is somewhat intuitive. The lace and cable pattern is gorgeous.

I’m excited that I managed to do the cable 6 without a cable needle - never tried it with that many stitches before. Yes!! (nice sticky wooly wool really helps with that)

Icelandic bindoff gives a nice edge for the ribbing, where I wanted a more structured edge rather than an invisible ribbing bindoff. But it’s still plenty stretchy.

Used nearly all 5 skeins.
