Last night, I finished embroidering the owls’ eyes with French knots, sewing on the buttons and doing some sort of whip stitch around the buttonholes.

I then soaked the cardigan for blocking. Oh my! The smell… This yarn smells bad when wet. I checked to see if maybe my soap had turned bad. Nope! It’s the yarn. It’s now blocking but I am waiting to see if the smell will go away when it’s dry.

I’m glad to say that the smell did go away after drying. Phew!

BUTTONS
