Half of the skeins came from my late mom’s stash.

I chose this project to participate in the Grocery Girls’ Granny Squares KAL which will end on August 31. I should be able to finish by then.

I “finished” at 10:30 pm EDT. Barely on time.
It needs blocking, and I am still debating whether I will add the last row at the back to make the neckline higher as in the pattern. We shall see. I will decide tomorrow, after a good night’s sleep.

I do like the fit and the length, although it’s much shorter than what I’m used to wear. Surprisingly, it looks good on me with a high waisted skirt. I can always add another row at the bottom, should I want it longer.

I have also found a way to make the shoulder straps sturdier, by adding mini pink circles in the joints. And I think that I do prefer the look this way as well. It looks more finished and it will prevent the straps from stretching too much with the weight of the garment.

I tried it on again, just to be sure, before I start weaving in a million of yarn ends, and I decided to remove one circle from each shoulder. It will stretch with the weight of the garment, and then the armholes will be too low.
