This is a quick hat I’m making as a basis for a fun/joke project for my cousin. She saw a breakfast hat on a TV game show. Some kind of crocheted beanie with a crocheted fried egg and a slice of bacon attached to the top. She joked about it, saying that should anyone go thru the trouble of making her such a hat, she would certainly wear it. This was 2 weeks ago.

She has been very ill this week, had to go to the ER, and still has a lot of testing ahead of her, so she is feeling anxious and worried. In order to cheer her up, I decided to make the hat (a shorter version to get a beanie shape) and try to needle felt the egg and bacon to garnish the top. The beanie part is done. Now, on with the felting!
