This time, I used the right needle size as indicated in the pattern, and the face is a tad smaller and looks better to me. The pattern was much easier to follow the second time around. Not that it was confusing the first time; it’s very well written, but it is not meant for beginners. I only had 15mm blue eyes left for this one, but it came out really cute.

I left both bags for my grandkids on their porch and left without seeing their reaction because I was afraid that it would make my grandson sad to see his grandparents only from a distance and not be able to hug and kiss them. At four years old, he does not entirely grasp the concept of distancing because of a virus.

He grabbed the two bunnies excitedly when he saw them and wanted to keep them both. After his mom explained that there was one for him and one for his baby sister, he decided to give her the blue-eyed one. He was really happy with his rabbit. And I was really happy and grateful that my son made a video of it all so I could see his reaction.
