I used thinner yarn & needles than advised, so I multiplyed all stitches by 1.75 and all rows by 1.5.
This way the owls got a bit smaller and so I have 26 of them and added some normal k rows above before starting the yoke. Maybe I should have decreased a bit more first to avoid the waves - not really sure, but I don’t mind them…
All in all I’m super happy with my very first handknitted sweater and it fits just perfectly.

After I finished the little owl sweater - my first ever knitting project - I think I got enough practice and bought some new yarn to make a big one for myself.

Somewhere around the bellybutton - working on the waist decrease. A bit worried that it will turn out too small - oh oh…

Already attached the 3rd skein. The long weekend gave me lots of time to sit in the sun and knit. Also tested the size last night and am very relieved that it fits around my waist just fine.

Learned how to knit with the magic loop method and started on the first arm (while still working on the body too).

Yay - I finished the first arm.

And the second arm is finished. Being sick has its good sides…

Several hours of car driving let me finish the owls.

Always read the instructions carefully. Spent 1,5 hours unraveling several rows I had already knitted.

Binding off! Yeay!
Done! Done! Done!
I can’t believe it. Will post some more photos soon.
Though it’s much too hot to wear it at the moment.
