11/3/11 - I’m planning on adding 2 thin/thick stripes…one brown and one green. The majority of the hat will be worked in the natural/off-white color. Going downstairs to cast on and knit while I watch Gray’s Anatomy! Yea! :-)

11/9/11 - I finished the hat, but it looks like something that Lampshade from the Fat Albert cartoon would wear. I also didn’t bother with stripes of green and brown, because it was obvious that my hat, while in guage, was not looking like a hat. I cast on more stitches (after reading a suggestion from someone else who had made this pattern) because the ribbing looked like it would be tight. I should have stuck with the pattern. Oh well. It might be ok for someone with dreadlocks or something. I guess I’ll donate it. :-/

Back to the drawing board.
