Notes

1-1-13: Suggestions for other knitters: I would wait until the very end to knit on the front ribbing band. You will want to put the sweater on and see where the tab is going to need to fall. I made the large size (40-43 inches), and it hangs loosely on me. It is comfortable, but the tab/button does sag. I think I will put an inside button in it to keep it from sagging. I don’t want to rip off the whole front and re-do the tab. It is very warm! Love it!

12-11-12: I’ve been knitting away at this. I finished the body this weekend, and began knitting the ribbing around the front. Now I’m working on finishing up the ribbing around the bottom (I didn’t have a long enough needle to do it all at once, so I’m going to sew it together at the corner…worked out perfectly). Then I’ll have to add the sleeves, but that’s a small amount of stitches, so they should go quickly. I should have this done by the end of the week. It’s so soft, and so warm! I’m excited. :-) About to take and add a photo, and share with my gals in my Wednesday night B&N knit group!

11-24-12: I finished the three balls I had bought before last night, at about half of the body of the sweater completed. It’s going so fast, now that I don’t have to knit the sleeve stitches as well (they were put on holders to be picked up later). So, I made the trek back to In The Making in Birmingham and bought 5 more balls of yarn (and two skeins of Misti Alpaca, but those are for other projects still to come. :-) Gonna keep on trucking!

10-6-12: I restarted the sweater today with quality needle and yarn that doesn’t shed. The shed-fest was pissing me off, and I knew I would never wear it! It took a trip to In The Making in Cahaba Heights, but it was worth it. (40” size 8 circular Bamboo by Addi) I’ll have to go back and get more yarn later. I bought 3 balls to start with.
