I used a 5 mm needle for the purple sections and a 5.50 for the green multi section. The purple yarn is wool and mohair, while the green is mohair and silk. So I put the softer yarn next to the face and neck. The purple would look nice in the 5.50 also but I wanted this particular shawl to be very warm for the winter.
I have made this pattern many times! It is one of my all-time favourites!
