Notes

Because Jilly is so stretchy, I wanted to give the shawl a firmer structure; so, I held one strand of Jilly with one strand of the Fine Donegal throughout the blue section. This produced a nice, structured DK Weight - great, since Jacqui lives farther north! The purple also gives the blue a lot of warmth. I used the green for the lace section and the picot edge as I knew I wouldn’t have enough blue for the tassels otherwise. I held the blue and purple yarns together for 2 tassels and the blue and green for 1 tassel.
