I’ve been on a go slow recently, partly as I’ve been away twice, and because it’s been way too hot to knit…but at last I have a sleeve!
I knitted the body fairly loosely on 3.5mm to get gauge, but needed to go up to 3.75mm for the sleeves.
I alternated after joining in the round, at the start of the body, working 2 rounds of each, and carrying the other strand. Didn’t alternate on the sleeves, as I knew there was enough for both using a single skein.
I ripped back the first sleeve after about 4”, as it was too tight, so picked up for size 2 and changed to 3.75mm. I have a tendency to knit tighter with small circs…probably as the stitches are so close together.
I followed the decreases for size 2 (every 14 rounds), and made one extra, to give me 52 sts (as size 1). Then 8 rounds plain before starting the edging. This gives me an inside sleeve measurement of 18” before blocking, which is around 1” short.
The first sleeve has taken 34g of yarn (130m).
I didn’t realise how much this would stretch , mostly in width, and the sleeves were way too long due to the shoulders having dropped.
I frogged 14 rounds and they’re still plenty long enough.
Both sleeves ended up taking 62g of yarn (238m).
I used this method of grafting the i-cord (skip to 2:40):

Measurements, after blocking:
Bust, 44”
Circ at hem, 40”
Inside sleeve, 17.5”
Length, from top of shoulder next to neck, 23”
This gives me 9” of ease, more than I’m used to but I do like it…
