What a lovely pattern this is, and the three layered brim is so warm!

I started with a provisional crochet cast on (104sts for adult small), to make it easy to knit the stitches together with the body of the hat.

When it was time to unravel the waste yarn, I put the live stitches on a 2.5mm needle as it was easier to pick them up.
I single stranded the first 3” of knitting to keep the 3 layers from being too thick. That part is inside the brim, so it doesn’t show.

My gauge was perfect on 3.25mm, both sts and rows, now I just hope it stays the same size when it’s blocked.

The 4/14nm merino/cashmere is very soft after washing out the spinning oil, and blooms really well.

After blocking it’s still the same size, but softer. I love it…a lot!
