Gauge is correct on 3.75mm, and my swatch bloomed well after washing out the oil.
My yarn is the same as Holst Garn Coast (from the UK mill that supplies them) but twisted as a 3/14nm, which equates to 466m/100g, rather than 700m/100g.
It’s a thinner option than recommended, but I’m getting gauge, and a fabric I like, on 3.75mm…and it will be a more airy option for summer.
I followed size 1, apart from making the armhole depth for a size 2.
I only made 2 purl bumps on the edgings (knit a row, purl a row, repeat once, then bind off knit wise).
I picked up 78 sts around the armhole (39+39), so the middle of the shoulder line lines up with SSK.
My working row gauge looked be 30, rather than 32, stitch gauge was correct.
Measurements, unblocked:
Back neck, width, 9”
Bust, measured immediately under the sleeve edging, 43”
Circumference around at bottom hem, 40”
Length, from top of shoulder, next to neck, to hem, at the back, 23”
Measurements, blocked:
Back neck, width, 9”
Bust, measured immediately under the sleeve edging, 43”
Circumference around at bottom hem, 40”
Length, from top of shoulder, next to neck, to hem, at the back, 22.5”
This gives me 8” of positive ease.
The pattern is perfect, a comfy summer tee that is light and airy enough for hot weather, and the shoulder details and eyelets really make it special.
