Notes

Just a simple square knitted in the round with this really bright yarn with fairly long color changes, making a really fun blanket. I like this yarn; soft and great colors.
Here’s how I made it:
Cast on 8 stitches and join yarn. (Using magic loop makes this easiest.) Knit a round as follows:
* K1, kfb * (12 stitches total)
Knit another round as follows: K1, place odd-colored marker, K1, pm, K2, pm 3 times, K1, pm K1. The odd-colored marker is the beginning/end of each round.
Continue to knit as follows:
Round 1: * Knit to stitch before 1st marker, kfb, sm, k1, sm, kfb * -- repeat * * for each corner.
Round 2: Knit to end, slipping markers as you go. Repeat Rounds 1 & 2 until you have the size you want or until you lose your mind. I went to 156 stitches on each side or 624 total. Then I did a 3-stitch I-cord bind off which looks great but took forever. Kitchener the cord ends and weave in a bunch of ends and you’re done. This blanket measures about 42” square and I’m very happy with it. Hope the baby is too.
