Notes

This sweater is very comfortable, and I love this yarn! It is so heavenly soft. The finished sweater is a bit large for me, so I may not wear it to outside. The next time I knit this sweater, I definitely will go with size 40.

GAUGE:
23 sts and 32 rnds in Stockinette stitch using larger
needles = 4” / 10 cm after blocking.

3.01.15 -
With US 5 needles, my gauge is 24 sts and 30 rnds. The length should be slightly stretched with weight, so it shouldn’t be a big deal. The width is a bit off. I decided to go for size 44.
Start right shoulder with US 5 needles, using provision cast on.

3.08.15 -
Picked up sts from both left & right shoulder, provision co for back neck. Finished the back portion. It was a bit hard to p/u sts from the side of a shoulder panel without making a large hole.
I really love how this yarn feel on my fingers while knitting. I’m already thinking of buying some more of Madelinetosh Feather.

3.13.15 -
Finish front portion of upper body. Now folding and joining front & back to continue to the body part.

3.29.15 -
Body part is almost done with long, long bind off. Seriously, it is really loooong, and I’m exhausted.
Ribbed Bind off
set-up: 1k - purlwise, 1p - knitwise
bind-off:
1k - knitwise and drop, 2k - purlwise /
1p - purlwise, 2p - knitwise /
2k - knitwise and drop, 3k - purlwise and push 1p off /
2p - purlwise and drop, 3p - knitwise (and repeat)

Another way to do tubular bind off 2x2
※After finishing binding off, I thought that I should have used old-fashioned plain bind-off, at least for the body hem. I don’t like how it shaped, so I may need to re-do it IF I have energy.

I’ve been away from this project a while. I finished the neck part before knitting sleeves. If I want to make sleeves longer, I can use up all yarn now:)

01-08-2016

Since the neck was finished, this WIP had been in my bin during the warm season. It’s getting cold now, and I decided to take it out, knit sleeves, and finish it up (I hope)!

01-16-2016

Sleeves are done. I’m going to weave yarn ends in. I don’t like how my body hem looks like, so I may re-do it. I did 2x2 bind-off for sleeves and neck, but I may use a simple bind-off for the body hem.

Finished! I love it! I will knit this sweater again some day.
