This is a quick improvised hat to match the ever popular Jane’s Stay On Booties pattern first published on the ‘net by Ann Kreckel, in a circa 1995 post to the KnitList.

My hat pattern sports three welts, to mirror those running around the bootie’s feet. It’s knit brim up, and terminates with an I-cord nubbin on top. The free pattern can be found on String.
