Notes

This pullover was inspired by Lake Michigan, the “inland ocean” that forms the eastern border of Wisconsin, where I have lived most of my life. When I was designing the pattern I tried to incorporate elements that would make this sweater easy to wear on a fishing boat; the raglan shaping and deep arm holes make it a comfortable fit when you are using your arms a lot, the 3/4 length sleeves don’t need to be pushed up out of the way, the cables at the raglan seams mimic the ropes used on the boat, and the side slits and longer back allow for ease of movement and keep your back covered when leaning over the side to catch a fish in your net.
