At long last the yarn I purchased in Shetland last year to knit Annie’s sweater is starting to run out, and I’m having to dip into stash to finish the sleeves of Andromeda’s. But that’s what stash is for--and I’m very excited for the Winters to have their first matching knitwear as a family of four!

Arg! I had two different lots of 125 in stash, but both were MUCH brighter than the skeins I’d purchased in Shetland for this project, so I subbed Spindrift Ginger instead, which is a bit of a closer match. I don’t think it’s too noticeable…

The sweater neck was MUCH too low--which is what you get when you look at a few patterns and then kinda wing it. So I knit a new front, and asked Annie to bring Andromeda’s sweater with her at Thanksgiving. I spent several of CJ’s naps putting the new front on the sweater and removing the old, then reknit the neck ribbing. Overall, I’m quite pleased with how it turned out… and hope it’s now a better fit!
