3.5 of 12 for 2012 (because I only cast on one in ‘12)

Perfect pattern for this yarn! Works up very fast indeed. (of course, Shelley’s wee tiny feet help too.)
Ugh! Had to rip back to before the heel. It just didn’t look deep enough. Good thing the lace pattern goes super-quickly!
Aaaaand less than twelve hours later, the stupid cable on the stupid KnitPicks needle snapped. Thankfully, no stitches were lost. Gotta put these down til the new ChiaGoo 0s arrive, though, since those were the only zeroes I had.
12/17: YAY! ChiaGoos have arrived. These needles make everything ZOOM, I swear.
12/21: Trying Cat Bordhi’s short-row heel ratios; while doing last rep of angels on instep, increased 2sts every other row on foot til I had 36 stitches for heel.
1/10/12: First sock done! Ended up ripping back heel and doing regular short-row heel. Will try CB heel with my next pair.
3/11/12: Heel turned on second sock. Finally caved and went up to 1s; for some reason the 0s were KILLING my hands with this sock. Hasn’t affected gauge in a major way, I don’t think.
4/1/12: FINISHED, no fooling! Yay! (Also, the heels are perfectly normal…it’s my ghetto homemade sock blockers that are oddly shaped.)
Mods: Only did angels on instep and front of leg; on back of leg, I did plain stockinette with a 12-stitch center column- I have dupe-stitching plans for it. :) Also did 2x2 rib for 1” for cuff. Bound off with JSSBO.

This yarn was the perfect colorway for these socks, but such a PAIN to work with. Very splitty.
